Kevin
J. Matthews
Collegiate Enterprise Solutions
Vice President
Kevin has served in the academic market for the
last 14 years where he has been involved in consulting,
sales, public affairs, community services delivery
and relationship management.
Previously, Kevin was the Director of Collegiate
Services for the start-up company, Athletic IQ,
Inc, which developed the first standardized test
for athletic ability, the athletic equivalent
to the SAT test. At AIQ, he led the effort in
recruiting college participation in the new venture.
Kevin also served at various roles at Northeastern
University, where for 12 years he was engaged
in research, community services, and public affairs.
Initially, he was research director and co-author
of the Racial and Gender Report Card, a comprehensive
study of hiring practices in amateur and professional
sports. Matthews also served as the Director of
the Northeast Regional Office of the National
Consortium for Academics and Sports, a consortium
of 220 colleges and universities dedicated to
keeping the student in the student-athlete. At
the time he left Northeastern University, he was
the Director of External Affairs for the Center
for the Study of Sport in Society, where he oversaw
media relations and social advocacy and managed
key relationships between Sport in Society and
its partner organizations.
Kevin is also the Special Assistant to the Chairman
of the Registry of College and University Presidents,
which provides interim presidents and senior administrators
to colleges and universities. In the community,
Kevin serves as a trustee of Massachusetts Bay
Community College.
Kevin has a B.S. in Operations Technology and
a Certificate in Non-Profit Management.
